Lefkas is one of the Ionian Islands and is the only island linked to mainland Greece by a bridge passing over a narrow channel.

 

It is a mountainous and fertile area full of dense vegetation. It is a quiet popular holiday destination but, despite that fact, it has kept its authentic and traditional colours which charm the visitors.

 

The island has a lot to offer: impressive landscapes, long golden sandy beaches, traditional villages, a charming capital, archeological sites and museums and a variety of activities such as sailing, windsurfing, cycling, scuba-diving, walking, or just relaxing at the beach.

 

 

By bus

You can take bus to Lefkada from Athens or Thessaloniki (4-5 times per day), It will take about 4-5 hours.
